COVID-19 hygiene measures
Lufthansa Technical Training conducts its classroom trainings in compliance with the highest hygiene standards. The basis of the concept is the Infection Protection Standard of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs dated August 20, 2020 and the decision taken by the federal and state governments on 19 January 2021.
The following specifications are implemented and adhered to in classroom trainings:
RULES OF CONDUCT BEFORE ENTERING LUFTHANSA TECHNICAL TRAINING PREMISES
Mandatory 3G for the workplace
In order to counter the dynamics of the current corona wave, 3G is mandatory at work in Germany from Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
Training participants are required to provide proof of 3G when entering premises. This proof is additionally checked before and at the personnel checkpoints.
In addition to vaccine or gene detection, the detection of an antigen or PCR test is sufficient. Training participants without the mentioned evidence are then no longer allowed to enter the LTT premises. A self-test carried out at home is not enough.
TRAINING LOCATIONS ON LUFTHANSA Group Premises
The 3G obligation is checked centrally before entering the Lufthansa Group (e.g. LHT, LHA, LAT) premises. Depending on the location, there will also be the option of performing a self-test in front of the control point under supervision. If a negative test result is confirmed, you will receive proof from the supervisor. This proof must be presented at the control point. Please allow sufficient time for this self-test and evaluation of the results.
TRAINING LOCATION Main Airport Center (MAC)
The 3G obligation is checked in the entrance area of the LTT ("Lobby"). It is not possible to carry out a monitored self-test in front of the control point. If necessary, please use the test offer in the MAC for a required test or any other test locations within the LH Group.
RULES OF CONDUCT ON LUFTHANSA TECHNICAL TRAINING PREMISES
EXTENDED MASK REQUIREMENT
At Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Technical Training, the extended mask obligation applies in all premises and on traffic areas, i.e. the wearing of medical protective masks (OP mask or FFP2 mask or mask with the KN95/N95 standard). Everyday or community masks are no longer permitted.
In addition to buses, canteens and bistros, these so-called "traffic areas" now include buildings including hallways, stairways, elevators, and printer and copy rooms.
In work areas where several people are present, medical mouth/nose protection must always be worn if fixed workplaces are not permanently occupied. For simulator or practical training, the mouth and nose protection is permissible as a sufficient protective measure.
Classroom windows must be opened regularly as well as during every break (shock ventilation, cross ventilation) in order to ensure sufficient air exchange.
Disinfection racks are available on the premises for regular hand hygiene.
The current list of risk areas, according to the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute, can be found via the link below.
Please continue to follow the Corona entry requirements, some of which also require a negative Corona test and a digital entry application (DEA) for entry. See link below.
