Online Distance Learning
EASA approved and non-approved courses can now be conducted online
Basic information & portfolio
Lufthansa Technical Training is the first EASA Part-147 training organization to introduce theoretical courses for basic and type training via "OnlineDistanceLearningLTT".
In coordination with the German Federal Aviation Office and in compliance with all aviation law requirements, the first online distance learning courses using a video conferencing program have begun. With this conferencing program, theoretical learning content is taught interactively and is done by using all the media familiar to date - such as spherical panoramas, schematics or simulations of a virtual aircraft.
- Upcoming / ongoing approved and non-approved courses run in an online classroom
- Theoretical training for basic training, competence training, non-approved type training and EASA approved type training
- Examinations for approved courses can be made up within three years (refresher courses and other exam preparation measures can be provided).
Customers can benefit from the flexibility of the offer, as courses can be planned and held at short notice - despite current travel restrictions. With this offer, Lufthansa Technical Training can provide customers with EASA approved and non-approved theory courses necessary to obtain and to keep aircraft maintenance licenses current according to the EASA requirements for certifying staff.
Interactive design of ODL training
During the learning content presentation in an online distance learning course, participants can actively ask their questions and discuss them with the instructor. The instructor can also use alternative media, such as a whiteboard, just as in a classroom, to respond to questions individually using illustrations. Simulations (such as an onboard maintenance system) can also be actively operated by the participants upon request by the instructor.
