Cooperation between LTT and QCM
Development of expertise and cost savings for customers
The Swiss consultancy and training company, Q.C.M. quality control management AG (QCM), and Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) have stepped up their existing collaboration for customers.
In the future the two companies will jointly offer aircraft type training for the Airbus ACJ319 and Boeing 737BBJ business jets.
In addition, there are plans to hold specialist courses on the subjects of composite and structural repairs, continuing airworthiness and maintenance.
The portfolio of jointly conducted training courses will be steadily expanded.
As a result the two companies will be able to offer a broader range of courses for the business aviation maintenance and the commercial aviation maintenance training markets.
Holger Beck, Head of Marketing, Sales and Product Management at LTT:
"Through this strategic cooperation QCM and LTT will be able to provide their customers with a wide-ranging training portfolio in the increasingly overlapping business and commercial aviation markets. By coordinating joint course dates in a demand-driven fashion we will be able to pass on attractive prices and thus not only help our customers to build up expertise but also bring about cost savings."
Customers of the QCM Group will benefit from LTT's competence in the design, production and continuing airworthiness of aircraft, parts and equipment.
Markus Enck, President of the supervisory board of Q.C.M. Holding:
"We believe our customers will benefit greatly from this extension of cooperation with LTT. Thanks to the expertise and infrastructure of LTT we will be able to meet the needs of customers both in the airline business and in business aviation even more flexibly, more systematically and at lower cost. We also see this as an opportunity to open up new markets and subject areas. LTT for its part will benefit from our long-established market presence with mature customer-supplier relations and the ‘lean' marketing and sales structure of QCM.
This is a superb example of a win-win situation, since our collaboration brings benefits to customers, LTT and QCM alike."
There are plans to further increase collaboration in the future.
