From 26–27 August, the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) took place in Singapore – the leading conference for training providers and users in the Asia-Pacific region. Lufthansa Technical Training was represented by CEO Marc Wilken and Laura Diedrich, Head of Lufthansa Technical Training Operations Asia-Pacific. For Laura Diedrich, it was her first visit to APATS and a special occasion: in her presentation, she highlighted how Generation Z can best be engaged and motivated in maintenance training – a topic that drew great interest from the audience. Throughout the conference, numerous presentations and discussion panels addressed current topics such as the causes and countermeasures of non-compliance, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in maintenance training. In addition to the professional insights, the event once again offered plenty of opportunities for networking. Marc Wilken and Laura Diedrich met with various customers, and the exchange continued beyond the official program during a shared dinner and informal discussions.
