Shaping new standards in composite training

From March 31 to April 4, a representative of Lufthansa Technical Training took part in the meeting of the Commercial Aircraft Composite Repair Committee (CACRC) in Wichita, USA, in his capacity as Chairman of the Training Task Group. Together with experts from Lufthansa Technik and Lufthansa Aviation Training, they worked on the further development and standardization of repair and test procedures as well as training standards in the field of composite materials. A key outcome of the meeting was the publication of a comprehensive training program for composite materials. It is intended to enable structured training courses in future and define mandatory training content for MRO companies - supported and referenced by EASA and FAA. The next step is to create a document that defines the requirements for training environments in the composites sector.
